In 1992 a group of industrially experienced private individuals started Hexagon AB. They acquired a major shareholding in Eken Industri and Handel AB and a year later changed the name of Eken to Hexagon AB.

It can save time and money for the contractor, civil engineer, architect, utility, authority and the public, adding another measure of insurance for plant protection and roadwork coordination.

The pipeline industry Guild in an association which caters direclty for the needs of the pipeline industry. Its scope ranges from chemicals, water and waste to transporting hydrocarbon products and they have interests both on- and offshore.
Mapping the Underworld

Highway Authorities and Utilities Committee (HAUC)
HAUC is generally involved in drawing up any legislation relating to Traffic Management and Street Works. HAUC advises the Secretary of State on issues relating to street works legislation, they provide guidance to practitioners and are also seen as the authority on matters of mutual interest in relation to street works.
