Road maintenance experts Staffordshire County Council and joint venture partners Enterprise have further demonstrated their commitment to on site health and safety by entrusting Cable Detection Ltd with the task of servicing and calibrating their extensive fleet of cable avoidance tools.
The highways enormously complex operations include the responsibility for maintaining over 6,000km of carriageway and over 1,000 bridges. With an extensive network of pipes, cables, and ducts under the highways, correct usage and maintenance of safety equipment is essential to the success of their operations.
Staffordshire’s highway teams are involved in road construction and maintenance and the efficient use of cable avoidance tools forms an integral part of their system of identifying services and providing safe methods of working.
